I visited Ambalavattam Temple on 11 January which was a Sunday. The poojari kindly waited for us as our train was scheduled to reach Thalassery beyond the usual pooja timings.

Ambalavattam Temple is being maintained very well. This has become possible partly due to the generous contributions which are made every year by family members.

The photo below shows the Jwalamukhi on top of the temple.

A team led by Shri A.K. Umanath is working tirelessly to ensure that poojas are conducted as per schedule and also to keep the temple neat and clean.

Sarpakkavu is in a quiet part of Ambalavattam temple complex. It is in a walled open enclosure. Inside there is lot of greenery. Entry is allowed only on special ceremonial occasions. See three photos from a visit to the temple in October during Navaratri pooja.

The pooja on Vijayadashami day was attended by family members and people from the neighbourhood. A young boy had his Vidyaarambham successfully done at the temple on the auspicious day. Please take a look at the photos.
